As the community continues to deal with the presence of the Novel H1N1 Influenza Virus, it is important that all providers within the Austin Travis County EMS system operate with the most current information. As with any emerging disease process, there will be changes and modifications to guidelines and actions as more information regarding the disease becomes available. Providers should remain alert to the potential of additional updates and changes in the future.

To ensure a consistent approach is taken by all providers in their dealing with the myriad issues associated with the Novel H1N1 Influenza, a Provider reference page has been set up on the OMD web site http://atcomd.org/Novel%20Influenza%2009.htm . The information contained on this page has been prepared by various system content experts in conjunction with national, state, and local authorities.
